RESTAURANTS & BARS

From local tapas bars to seaside dinners, here’s where we love to eat and drink.
Whether you’re staying near the venue, by the coast, or in Málaga city, these are our favourite spots — perfect for long lunches, sunset drinks, and relaxed dinners.

Near the Venue – La Viñuela Area

The La Viñuela area is quiet and countryside-focused, which makes it perfect for slow meals, home cooking, and relaxed evenings. Many guests choose to cook at their accommodation and enjoy the views — and honestly, it’s a great plan.

That said, if you’d like to eat out, these are the best nearby options:

  • Venta La Viñuela – Traditional Andalusian food, generous portions, very local and authentic.
  • El Charco – Casual, local favourite with classic Spanish dishes.
  • B Bou Hotel La Viñuela Restaurant – Convenient, elegant, and perfect for a relaxed dinner without driving.

Our honest tip: if you’re staying in a house or villa here, we highly recommend doing a grocery shop and cooking at least one evening — sunset, wine, and views included.

Torre del Mar – Beachfront & Easygoing

Torre del Mar is ideal if you want beach life plus great food, with an easy drive back to the venue.

Our favourites:

  • La Caleta – Excellent seafood, right by the sea.
  • Berebere – Stylish, creative cuisine with a modern twist.

You’ll also find plenty of chiringuitos (beach restaurants) for grilled fish, espetos (sardines), and long lunches by the water.

Pedregalejo – Local, Beachy & Relaxed

Pedregalejo is one of Málaga’s most loved seaside neighbourhoods — casual, local, and perfect for food by the sea. (During the weekends, book in advance, very busy)

Highly recommended:

  • Miguelito El Cariñoso or El Merlo – Classic, no-frills seafood institution. (Ask for Espetos or Calamar/Pulpo espetado, super traditional)
  • Pez Tomillo – Small plates, great flavours, very local vibe.
  • El Balneario – Live music in the weekends and beautiful sunsets. (More expensive than average)
  • Restaurante/Hotel La Chancla – Beachfront, modern Andalusian cuisine.
  • MYA Pedregalejo – Trendy spot for drinks and casual dining.

Perfect for sunset dinners, relaxed drinks, and seafood nights.

Málaga City Centre – Tapas, Wine & Rooftops

If you’re staying in Málaga centre, you’re spoiled for choice. These are some of our favourite spots — a mix of classic, modern, and fun.
