The Wedding Day

We can’t wait to celebrate with you! ❤️

To help you make the most of the day, here’s what you can expect. It’s a very Spanish-style wedding, which means a late lunch, plenty of food, lots of time to chat, and an even bigger party afterwards.

We recommend arriving at the venue between 12:15 and 12:30, giving you enough time to settle in, grab a welcome drink, and enjoy the beautiful surroundings before the ceremony begins. The meal is expected to finish at around 17:30, after which the party will begin. We’ll have four hours of open bar (barra libre), plenty of dancing, and later in the evening we’ll serve a recena (a late-night snack to keep everyone going!).

The Timeline (Approximate)

12:15–12:30 — Ceremony (held in both Spanish and Italian, with a touch of English)
After the ceremony — Cocktail hour
Late lunch
Around 17:30 — Party begins, with four hours of open bar
Later in the evening — Recena (late-night snack to absorve all the alcohol and help you sleep like never before)
Before 22:00 — End of the celebration
The day has been planned to flow naturally, with plenty of time to eat, drink, catch up with friends and family, and enjoy every moment together.

Dress Code & Attire Tips

Think garden party chic: elegant in the most Italian/Spanish way.

Wedding traditions vary from country to country, and in Spain… well, we’re a little dramatic when it comes to colours. 😅

To help you blend in like a local, we’d love it if you could avoid:

🤍 White – That’s the bride’s job.
🍷 Burgundy – Our bridesmaids have already claimed this one!
❤️ Bright red – Traditionally it’s the colour that says “Look at me!” and we’d quite like the bride to win that competition.
🖤 Black – Traditionally associated with mourning in Spain. It’s much more acceptable nowadays, but we’d love the day to feel colourful, vibrant and full of life.

Don’t panic if your favourite outfit happens to be one of these colours—we promise we won’t turn you away at the door! 😉 These are simply fun Spanish traditions, and we thought our international guests might enjoy knowing about them before choosing what to wear.

A few practical tips:

Women: we’ll be walking on grass, so thick heels or wedges work best
Bring flat shoes to change into for dancing later
Men: light, breathable fabrics are ideal for the daytime, however that day may be slightly colder, it’s October but it’s Malaga…

Most importantly — wear something you feel good in and can enjoy the full day comfortably.

Transportation & Parking

Everything will take place at B Bou Hotel La Viñuela & Spa, so once you’ve arrived, you won’t need to travel anywhere else during the day.

We’ll also be providing a coach from Málaga city centre. The exact pick-up location and timetable will be sent directly to everyone who has reserved a seat.

If you’re driving:

Free parking is available at the venue.
If you’re staying nearby, driving is the easiest option.
We recommend arriving by 12:15–12:30 so you have plenty of time to park, settle in and enjoy a drink before the ceremony.
